Samsung Galaxy Ace

My Dad has a Samsung Galaxy Ace that is about 1 year old. The screen has started to freeze during any task. After booting it will work cor about 5 mins before it freezes. What can be done to solve this as it is out of warranty and an upgrade is not due for another 6 months.

You could try putting a custom rom onto it, that's what I did with my old one (now my mums) threw a custom rom and deleted some apps that needed root access this was to free up some room as that phone has awful internal storage and my mum has barely any 5 apps on it, a custom rom might speed it up a bit, when I put Cyanogenmod on my Nexus 7, it booted in about 7 second's when I was pushing 30 before.
