Noctua NH-L12 vs Noctua NH-L9x65

Guest

Thinking of computer parts so my brother can have a desktop PC and I'm wondering which one is better? Where I live it's the same price and I think the case might be the Fractual Design Core 500. I want nocuta due to the fact they make good quality stuff and they are easy to install.

@CaptainGunny L12 definitely. U12, U14 or C14 are all likely superior options though.

L9 will be worse than the stock cooler in many situations, even with the 65mm.

Cryorig C7 if you can get it. Half the price only a fraction worse. Review (includes comparisons to NH-L9x65): https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CRYORIG/C7/

EDIT: actually, you're in Australia, so you can (sorta, ETA 24/12): https://www.pccasegear.com/products/33458

not bad, good for the price, but the Cryorig H7 does it better at the same price (I'm having a guess that you're looking at PCCaseGear)
