1080p 144hz vs 1440p 120hz for gaming

Well, I have been looking around for a new monitor and I do not know what to get.


I'm unsure whether to get 1080p 144hz or something else like 1440p?


I am using the monitor for primarily gaming and some browsing, the usual things.


I own a gtx 970


So far I have found these monitors to be appealing but am unsure if they're any better ones for the price range of around £230:

Personally I prefer 1440p 60 over 1080p 144hz, and a 970 is fine for either

 

but for your budget I dont think youll get a good 1440p screen
