Cool Uses for Surface RT?

Hey all,

 

I received a Surface RT back in 2012 and it doesn't really have any use anymore.

I was going to use it as an external monitor using an app called Splashtop to create a virtual monitor which the RT controls over VNC, but it appears their app no longer supports this. (They created a new one which does this, but the app only supports iOS/Android clients, not RT Windows. Q_Q)

 

I love tinkering and hacking together cool projects - can anyone think of any neat, alternative uses for a Surface RT tablet? Shoot far and wide.

Stick it up on a wall and have google calendar(or something similar), constantly running.

Try to install Android it maybe? I heard it was impossible on the day it was launched but dunno how it's now. Also that coincidence tho... I was watching Surface RT videos today [emoji1]

Why isn't it possible? People still didn't figure out how to disable secureboot on it?

From all the searching I've done, disabling the secureboot after the 8.1 updates never got done, and getting Android to function properly on it would've been a HUGE pita.

Such a bummer that there's literally no use for them. I only use mine to watch netflix in bed when I don't feel like using my laptop. Otherwise, completely useless. Had high hopes for this post but nothing so far :(.
