HP G72 power issue

checkmate
Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

I checked the charger port, it seems fine. None of the connections are loose or anything. I also looked at this before I came here. I'm assuming its the motherboard?

Edit: Also checked, im using a 90W power cable thing, it should be fine right?

yes it fine so i guess it needs a new mobo

Friend gave me a laptop because it was broken

I'm 16, sorta new to working on laptops (mostly worked on desktops my life)

Wouldn't turn on, opened it up.

Saw flashing power LED

Played with it

Got fans to spin?

Super quiet ticking sound when it blinks

Video included.

Thank you

HP LED blinking will indicate the error

observe the number of time the LED blinks

then look u for HP notebook error codes

check this

most suspect power supply board or the mobo has failed
