Office headphones

I'm looking for a pair of over-ear headphones I can wear at the office. I love the sound signature of the Sennheiser 598, but open back and office do not mix. Of note: I'll be dragging this thing with me in a backpack, so durability is a concern. I expect these cans to last. Also comfort is extremely important, I intend on wearing these hours on end.

What are your suggestions? Why?

I think you would like the Audio Technica ATH-MSR7. No fake bass boost, and smoother upper mids transition than the 598 to boot, which is usually a good thing.

Druability is a strong point with lots of metal parts. Comfort is OK - you'll probably need to manually break in the headband to get it optimum; but for the money it's pretty worth it.

Another option is the Sony MDR-1A. Probably a bit more comfortable than the ATH for most people, if a little more expensive and less flat (e.g. more of a bassy bump).

I would suggest the Sennheiser momentums 2.0 with the over the ear design.

It sounds great as like most other well known sennheiser products and is stylish and comfortable to use.

Main concern with these would be the smallish ear cups. Also, the sound quality is a little behind other options, particularly in the lowest bass.
