Power supply needs

Go to solution Solved by tvang5,

500 will be enough.  i usually do go a bit high though, so i would use a 600

Ok because with a 600w PSU it fits my budget perfectly of right under 700$.

Currently building a PC and the estimated power consumption is about 450w on pcpartpicker. Will a 500w PSU be enough or do i need 550-600? Or even more? This pc is for gaming, but I would like to cut costs where i can, even though im a noob i know not to cut costs at a power supply so i want some more expert advise before i do so.

Use this site to calculate what your computer will draw, on real life load. I got it to around 350w but I don't really know all your compnents... Try it yourself! ;)

EDIT: This won't be the regular real life load, this is the peak wattage in real life! So I would actually go with a 400-450/500w PSU.
