I recently started CS:GO after watching streamers play it quite a bit, and as soon as I got ranked it was directly to Gold Nova Master. Since then, I've been top fragger in nearly every match I play (top fragger in entire match, not just my team), even when losing (I've lost like 8/10 of my previous games). So far most of my games now have hackers or trolls, and my team is always the one that sucks, and my friends are either a bit below my level, or still at Fallout and won't leave even for one game.

So my question is, should I try ESEA or FaceIt? Plenty of people have told me ESEA is way more professional players and you should be LE at least before joining ESEA, but I feel like I might be able to keep up with them (when I was trying to get my 10 wins to get a rank, I was playing a game with players at MGE, but after that I encountered a game with hackers, and then I just started bottom fragging). I've also heard the same with FaceIt. Overall, is it worth a shot at one of them (and which one?), or am I just gonna end up carrying my team to a loss?

For ESEA or FACEIT get LEM at least. You will just get raged on and won't kill anyone.

Having personally played against both LE and GNM, I will say that there is rather large difference between the two.

EDIT: Also, the players on ESEA and FaceIt tend to be higher skilled than their matchmaking counter-parts.

What are you, silver?

So far I've only deranked. Does CEVO work?

I ended up queuing with a LE so I ended up in a game with LE's, and yeah, it didnt go well. Lost 16-2..

Faceit = mostly gold novas who think they're ready to go pro. Not really worth it IMO, can be fun though.

ESEA = much better players, most of them play at global level and above. I wouldn't try it until you're at least LEM/Supreme.

Anyway, you're that typical nova player who blames his team for all his losses. Stick to MM for now.

meh haven't played a lot of Faceit, it was so easy that I just stopped playing it, so I don't know about the ranking system there.

Most players I encountered there were around Nova level, pretty bad.

Meh, I doubt the players on Faceit are ranked higher than my MM rank (global), so no point in grinding for points.

faceit is actually where all eu pro's play. You can get into faceit pro league if you are really good too, that's a special queue for pro players.

Shows how useful your advice is. CS community is what it is because of people like you. I'm pretty sure most, if not all of us can agree soloq never works out. You always end up with a screwed up team. If I was queuing with friends that'd be a totally different story.

Are they worse than the normal MM players overall?

no just more random since there are many good players just trolling around or going up the ladders.

There is no real reason to play pugs before lem or supreme, you wouldn't notice any difference at all.

They all say that too. Have you ever been to HLTV, Reddit, or even here (look at yourself)? Anyone, streamers, pro players, anyone with experience at CS, says that soloq sucks. MM is only decent if you can queue with a few friends, otherwise try something else. The higher you get in soloq the less trolls you'll find, but I'm not that high and will never be that high as you only rank up by winning and MVPs, and I get a pretty decent amount of MVPs, just almost never win (when I queue with friends I hardly ever lose)

solo q sucks once you reach global, because global is so varied in skill. but up till then it's the same shit as pugs.

Bruh who cares about hltv, streamers,...

MM is decent while solo queueing as well, even though it's more fun with friends.

Then what's the problem here? Go to recruitcs on Reddit, add a bunch of guys and never soloq again?

3. I can't help it that you don't have any friends to play with
