On my test bench aka my motherboard sitting on a cardboard box, I have been trying to max out my SLI 980 ti's and with msi afterburner they hold stable at 1500 core with +500 on the vram with no added voltage but I want more. Adding voltage didn't help make anything more stable after 1500. (For the record their asic is 74 and 76%) The reason I want more is because at that overclock they never even reached 60 degrees during synthetic benchmarks on stock fans and the waterblocks come in next week, needless to say these cards have/will have headroom when it comes to temps. I am unfamiliar with overclocking beyond intro level software, do any of you have experience with pushing the limits with different gpu bios and whatnot?

Any tips on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

You need a custom BIOS, allowing higher voltage and more power headroom. Go check out the 980Ti owners thread on overclockers.net
