they both have the same specs the only difference being that the acer has a broadwell cpu when the asus one has a haswell cpu

a friend is buying one of them today and he doesn't know which one

but personally I would go with the Acer because of the core i3-5005U but I wouldn't do either of them as I'm a longtime Toshiba user and would recommend a satellite series pc

well he doesn't have money for an ultrabook or an apple product so these are the best things in his budget

Look for a Lenovo B50 or G50 with an A8 ot A10 - much better option

They have about the same specs, if I were you I would not do two of the following:

 

  1. Make a quick decision
  2. Buy either of the laptops

If I had to pick it would probably be the one with the Haswell, but the 4 GB of RAM is the real deal breaker.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)
