Ok so the reason we didnt get a 390 was because we didnt want to deal with shitty drivers. and we need shadowplay.

So he already got the psu and case. hows this build look? gaming and a nice overclock on cpu thats why i went with dark rock pro 3. and asrock boards because experiences have been great with them :) and 16gb ram because games use more now.

Since he will be using shadow play he needs some mass storage, you could get him a larger hard drive. Otherwise looks fine by me.

Just saying, I'm using a 390 right now and drivers are absolutely fine. On par with the GTX 960 in my old man's PC.

Otherwise it looks pretty good. What PSU do you have for it.

AMD drivers being bad is a meme that refuses to die, and there is a AMD equivalent to shadowplay.

Other than that theres nothing wrong with the build

Sometimes people just prefer Nvidia though. Regardless of which card he gets it will perform fine but I understand what you mean.

There is zero need to get so aggressive. I know you need ShadowPlay, did I tell you to get a 390 instead? No. I corrected you when you said that AMDs drivers are shitty, they aren't, they're on par with NVIDIA's. I understand your need for a 970 and am simply telling you that the notion that AMD's driver's are bad is incorrect.

Jesus.

I find black a bit overkill when comes to their price, you can get a Seagate 3TB at the same price (and while they are not as fool proof as blacks they aren't that unreliable as some would want you to believe).
