Wifi issues Samsung smartphone

Hello,

My mum who owns a Samsung duos phone has recently complained that her phone disconnects from our WiFi although the setting tells it to not do so when going into sleep mode. This means that she has to reenter the password after every time she puts the phone to sleep. Anyone have experience on how to fix this issue?
