is sli worth?

Vikzer
Go to solution Solved by Najuno,

A powerful single GPU is always better than two mid range GPUs. The story that SLI or CF systems nowadays struggle with so many issues is a fairytale though. And SLI or CF start to make sense by putting two highend chips together for aplications that need that i.e. 4K.

In your case though I´d recommend an EVGA ACX2.0 SC GTX980Ti. EVGA has the best customer service when it comes to nVidia cards.

Hey im wondering if i should get one more asus gtx 970 oc or upgrade 980ti. i have heard that sli has a lot of problems so im just wanna know if its worth the trouble?

980ti.

new games like Just Cause 3 can't even support SLI lol.

and gtx 970 has 3.5GB VRAM usuable. still 3.5 in SLI so for 1440p with ultra texture might b a bottleneck.

You can't go wrong with EVGA, but it really depends on your budget

my opinion

SLI/CF is only worth it when you allready have the most powerfull card out there(FuryX/980ti), and then you add another if you really need that much power

otherwise no

In my opinion. If you already have a 970,mobo compatible with sli,a good powersupply and you don't need that extra vram the 980ti offer just add another 970.

I'd only sli two of the most powerful GPUs. So, two gtx 980 Tis.

Thrive on change. Embrace volatility.
