Nvidia Control Panel won't save my settings

Drez

So I just got a new montior 21:9 3440x1440 Acer Predator X34 and I'm trying to set the refresh rate on it to 100 (which it's capable of) but no matter what I do, it keeps reverting back to 60hz.

I've updated nvidia control panel and the latest nvidia drivers.  I've reset the monitor.  I know it's not the display port cable because it was quite capable of pushing 2560x1440 144hz with no problem.

The parts:

Acer Predator X34 (2nd gen)

SLI 980ti

i7 6700k

Windows 10

It's a brand new build that would allowed me to set the refresh rate of my old monitor to 144hz.  Not sure what the problem is.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for all of your assistance.

Turns out that it doesn't play well with my new monitor and my old monitor being plugged in at the same time. My old monitor is a Hanns-G HZ281 1920x1200 monitor.  Could it not like the 21:9 and 16:10 resolutions together?  I've never experienced this before.  The Hanns-G played nice with the Acer 2560x1440 144hz I had prior to my Predator.
