680. Worth it?

Is it worth me getting a 680 over a 670 at all or am i just throwing too much money at this?

1. if you plan only gaming, look for a similar priced 7970 ghz edition

2. if you plan on doing CUDA supporting applications, go NVIDIA

3. if a non-reference 680 is not more expensive than a non-reference 670 go for it

4. ask yourself are you willing to spend more money for just 5-10% more performance ( some 670's are so close to a reference 680 and 1 even outperforms it. ASUS gtx670 DCUII TOP edition. )

5. if you are only gaming and don't need physx go with a standard 7970, it will be better in games than a 670 ( most at least, there is a question in the future MSAA vs TXAA ), but cheaper than a 680

Get a non-reference 7970 , you'll get equal performance to a 680 at 1000mhz on the core(almost all non-reference 7970s are clock @ 1000mhz or above) and you will save a ton of money plus you will get Crysis 3 and Bioshock Infinite for free .
