Picking the new GPU

YuriDSC

Which one of these is the best bang for the buck option:

XFX R9 280X 1000M BOOST 3GB D5 BULK -217$
  SAPPHIRE R9 280 3G GD5 OC W/BO - 179$

SAPPHIRE NITRO R9 380 4G GD5 L - 215$

Im looking to future-proof my rig for atleast 2-3 years ahead for the lowest price possible

There is no thing called "Future-proof" and you should never try "future proofing" your pc, games will become more intensive and your components will fall behind no matter what. Regarding the actual question, the 380 would be your best shot because of the extra GB vram and better performance in general :)

Even now I can get 970 :D that doesn't mean I want to throw so much money for it

Then you wont' "future proof" xD if you can afford a 970, get a 390

The R9 280X is faster than the 380, but it does have less VRAM. However, VRAM isn't the be-all and end-all of graphics cards comparisons. If you're gaming at 1080p, 3GB should be enough for a few years, but you'll have to be prepared to pay out sooner for a new card.

If you don't mind paying the extra, the R9 390 is an excellent card.
