NH-D15 compatability.

Hello,

I am planning on ordering a Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler.

However I cannot find any information regarding a compatability concern.

Will the cooler interfere with a Asus GTX 980 Strix (with a backplate)?

I have a Asus Hero VII motherboard, and the GPU is in the top x16 slot.

Get NH-D15s (newer version) it has better compatibility as it wont interfere with first PCI-e slot.

I'll have a looking the NH-D15s.

However I noticed it isn't on Amazon Prime and I need to by Monday, so I'm going to have to look around...

My NH-D15 isn't anywhere near my top x16 slot. I have a 970 STRIX with backplate and space isn't remotely a concern.

I think I'm going to go for the NH-D15s, purely because of the fact that it's cheaper and I know for certain that it will fit.

I ended up getting the NH-D15s.

And it's amazing!
