Drivers and Scaling

My mother has Vista 32 bit, and I just put a 750ti in her system

besides the fact that vista is Fu***** trash and wont install service pack one like EVGA Control Panel says it needs...

When I get the drivers installed, will it be able to scale better? I'm able to use the 1440p monitor to it's full extent now, however going above 1280x1440p causes the scaling to go awry, and full 2560x1440 causes it all to be shoved into the left corner of the screen

 

 

Will drivers fix this or am I just screwed?
