Headphone issues

Hi all I recently brought some Bose QC25 headphones they are excellent on my phone but im having issues using them on my laptop, They have a have a built in mic in the cord and thats where im running in to problems. When I plug them in to my laptop it will only recognize the built in mic and the headphones them self wont show up as a audio device at all. Laptop  is a Lenovo yoga 2 pro running windows 8.1, they didn't come with any drivers and i cant find any online.

 

Has anyone got any ideas on how to over come this issue?????
