Setting 'Temperature Target' Question

I have a 6870 and I was wonderign I could somehow set a temperature target so that my graphics card doesn't exceed that. Is it possible to do it on a 6870 or is this a 700 series exclusive thing?

ah no no such thing is possible with that card but with afterburner you can set your fan curve so that you can keep your temps lower with higher fan speed
