Hey guys, just putting the final touches on my first build. I have some parts purchased already, but I'd like to see if you guys want to make some extra suggestions.

If you want to know where I'm getting some of these prices from let me know. And please tell me if you see something that won't work or isn't optimized.

this looks really solid to me, nice build! if you have some headroom left for spending maybe a better cpu(i7) or gpu(390x, 980)? Just suggesting.

if you can try to go with a different brand than power-color but other than that looks good

 

try for like Sapphire, MSI or gigabyte

solid all around build. nothing i would change, but perhaps save a bit more for an ips 60hz 1440p monitor. but those are about 350$usd or more right now

try for like Sapphire, MSI or gigabyte

power color pcs+ is an excelent cooler mate. not as good as sapphire, but far better than gigabyte and quieter than msi. although since its a reference pcb it wont overclock as well as the msi.

I really would love to, especially with an R9 390, and I definitely looked into it. But it more than doubles the amount that I'd be putting into the monitor and I was really hoping to stay sub $900 for everything.

I had my eye on the Nitro when it was cheaper during the slew of Black Friday deals, but the price has gone back up. The Gigabyte's reviews look less than stellar, especially compared to the PowerColor model. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125792 As for the MSI, well, that's just a color clash. Most of the stuff I have is blue otherwise I would jump on it. Its a stupid reason I know  :P
