Hi guys, I've been using my logitech G430 for almost 2 years and it's a bit broken (still works) I wanted to buy new headset which would be a replacement for it (want to try something new, u know?)

I like this headset because of the microphone, it is good quality and my pc is loud and with this mic, my friends on skype etc. can't hear it which is good.

I want a headset that has a similar quality mic and audio.

preferably around 70£

get the hyper X cloud II's. They're probably the best headset around for that price (they're between $90-100 USD). I love mine, I can wear them all day and the mic is great!

Don't waste the money on the Cloud 2, get the regular Cloud or Cloud Core for $30-$40 less that is the same thing but without that USB crap.

I need the 7.1 virtual, even if it sounds bad, for some reason if I just had normal stereo on my headset, most of the things I would hear would be on my right side if im playing games, not on anything else like youtube vids or skype.

Ah. Sounds like a bad jack or a bad headset wire.

how would it be bad headset wire if it changed the side of the sounds, also when playing games I hear everything on the right side but while listening to music/talking on skype I hear it on both sides

Better than the Logis yes, but I still say don't waste money on the 2. You are having issues with sound because of a faulty headset or improper settings in Windows, 7.1, even simulated 7.1 does not direct sound from left to right and vice versa, that's an issue with the hardware or improper settings.

You can get that fake 7.1 by downloading Razer Surround for free or possibly even through your onboard audio settings. The Cloud Core and Cloud 2 are the same headset, but the Cloud 2 has the crappy USB dongle with Dolby Surround. Fake 7.1 isn't a decent reason to warrant it IMO when you can get that through Razer's software for free, saving you $30 to just download it yourself.

But to simply answer your question if you are determined to spend more for the same headset with no benefit aside from the USB dongle, just get the Cloud 2, it is indeed the better headset.
