Problem with Driver Installation

Go to solution Solved by MashedPotatonator,

I was able to fix this problem by removing and reinserting the battery of my laptop... I am greatly annoyed yet delighted that this worked...

Thanks for the replies though, EvilLemur and RaptorCandy :D

Hello everyone. I recently replaced the hard drive of my laptop as the old one broke. I went and installed my Nvidia drivers (359.06) through GeForce Experience and it told me to restart my computer. So I did. Only to find out that I have to download it again. I've already redownloaded it 3 times and every time it failed to install.

My PC runs games noticeably slower than when I had my old hard drive which the Nvidia drivers worked properly on, so it may be running on the Intel graphics. My PC also blue screens whenever I alt-tab out of one of my games, Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Here are my PC specs if you need to know them:

ASUS X550LB

Intel Core i7 4500u

8GB Kingston DDR3

Nvidia GeForce GT740m

HGST Travelstar 1TB

Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

windows 10 should install the drivers automatically if anything uninstall, restart then install your drivers then restart and see if it stuck or not.

Try to uninstall the drivers by using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). You need to go into safemode to do that. After you uninstalled the drivers go back to normal mode and install the drivers from the Nivida's website.

I've just tried doing both of these. Drivers still won't install
