I have a ASRock 990 extreme3 mobo, and unfortunately it does not have onboard wifi, and I was wondering if this adapter might work to give me ac wifi capabilities?  http://goo.gl/ZjIhy8

That is for a laptop and you would need an adapter just to use it on your mobo.  Why not just get an ac pcie wireless adapter or an ac usb adapter?
