value for money gaming headset

hey all, im a gamer, that has just joined the PC market and i currently use skype to talk to friends while in game, so i need a headset for me o use so my friend cant hear himself. is there any good value for money options out there, its just basic to start off, as i will upgrade later, and i will be using onboard sound. can you give examples of the best for under 50 pounds and the best option for under 100 pounds, i am currently looking at the legitech G35.

the headset does need to have a mic, its for first person shoot games (eg. bf3, or counter strike) but also for music, im not looking for anything great at the moment, but i would like something thats not to bad for a start, but cheap, id like to keep it under 50, but i may go higher.

I'll throw in my usual "cheap but awesome" recommendation of Superlux HD-681 Evo + Zalman ZM-MIC1 clip-on mic.

+1 for Verne. Superlux hd681 evo are what i hear, the best. DONT get Logitech G35's. Just google LGS. So many problems you don't want. Also don't go for headsets. Get headphones, and a ModMic. The Zalman is fine though.
