(It may look like my block is cracked and the radiator is dirty, but it's just the camera, I can see right through the rad without problems and the gloss from the camera makes the block look cracked.)

I'm currently running at 137f (54c) under a medium load. When running prime95, it takes about 5 minutes for my H100i to ramp up and reach 212f (100c) and then the system automatically shuts down. The H100i is only a few weeks old and for some reason is seriously under-performing. I can't see why, unless it's the way I had to mount it, but even then that shouldn't be causing this high of temps. Did I do something wrong or is my unit bad?

I have a 3570K that's not overclocked and am using a push configuration with the stock fans.

I'm guessing you haven't touched your voltages in the UEFI then if you haven't overclocked. Do a re mount and see if that helped. What thermal compound are you using? When it's on can you feel the water moving through the tubes when you touch them? What fans are you using? Does your rad effectively radiate heat that you can feel when touching it? Any weird noises coming from your pump? If everything is alright after you re mounted it and checked the entire system then RMA it.

I'm using the standard thermal paste that came preapplied, it went on pretty smoothly.

Corsair Link shows that my pump is working and when touching the tubes it vibrates lightly.

Feeling the top of the radiator I can feel slightly colder than luke warm air coming through.

  • 2 weeks later...

The same problem with my H100i . Idle temp on Intel 3470 , 3.4Ghz -> is 40"C . I tried reapplying the thermal paste with an mx-5 i think, but i still no better than stock. All fans working, pump working.. push configuration.

Anyone know what I could do ?

I think that you may have to change how fast your fans ramp up with you temps, these AIO liquid coolers let your cpu get a little hot, in exchange of silent operation, try doing a stress test with prime 95 and tell me if your fans make more noise, and your load temps.
