Steam Disk Write Error

I doubt it's a problem with my SSD because I've just installed a game and it's running without issues. Maybe it's because of some pre-loading problem, should I try to re-install it?

Seems like reinstalling steam/the game is the best option.

Hey guys,

So, I recently finished downloading Just Cause 3. Once it's finished, it says "Disk Write Error". I followed the steps (check if the drive is healthy, restarted my PC..) but had no luck.

Btw, I haven't had this issue before. I have a Intel 750 Series 1.2TB NVMe SSD.

I had this issue with Space Engineers not wanting to update. I ran an error check on my HDD (My Computer -> C:/ -> properties -> Tools -> Error-Checking) with auto correct errors on... It took a couple hours (my HDD is nearly full... and full of junk (900GB worth)) but afterwards it was fixed...

Hmmm. Steam said on its support page that if that doesn't fix it, it's either a glitch in steam (which they said was "Unlikely" ha) or your hard drive dying...

 

You may need to consider backing up to a 2nd one if you want to interperet that as a sign of impending doom. Alternatively reinstall steam (and hope it doesn't take your games with it)
