the 5820k has a max ram speed of 2133 so having dominator platinums at 3000 is quite a bit overkill and like $100 more expensive imo though on a system that overkill, why not i guess

It's OEM Asetek most likely. Basically every watercooler is :P

I knew that (I googled it after seeing it cause I've never seen it before) but he isn't gonna get any crazy overclocks on a single rad.

No place has the exact OEM, but lots said Asetek.

Jesus dude, that's a monstrous build.

Just one thing, why X99 over Skylake? I mean with the savings on the board alone you could get an extra HDD and still have change. Plus then you could get a pair of NVME ssds instead of the SATA ones and get uber fast hard disc performance.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

Max RAM speed never stopped people getting 4+ GHz on a stick of DDR4 :P

You don't have a case and you do realise those are poseidon cards, they have a built in waterblock.

This computer is going to be built into a desk, that is why I have no case, and for the cards, I will prob switch them out for the EVGA GTX980Ti AIO cooler on there

I watched the x99 vs z170 video on  YouTube and after seeing that there wasn't really that much of a difference between the two platforms I decided with Skylake

You're overspending on the mobo (Pro-gamer is fine :P) and those cards still have built in waterblocks (unless that's what you want).

Is it bad that they have the built in? I may switch to the EVGA Hybrid

It's not bad it's just if you're not going to be getting a custom loop done you're wasting money on getting a card with a built in waterblock  :P

They're designed to be integrated into a water loop and have no HSF.

haha I know nothing about watercooling, this is why I want AIOs. it would help me out better. Would those EVGA cards be ok then, or maybe even the one MSI made with corsair

. Hey, I forgot to ask, do you think 2 980ti Ali or 2 Titian x in sli would be ok for 4K gaming with ultra settings with 100hz monitor?

Don't ever consider Titan Xs. Just don't. 2 way SLI should be alright for 4k gaming but you may have to turn some settings down.
