I am thinking of updating my GPU, below I have listed my system spec and the games I am currently playing;

 

Fallout 4, Dota 2, Skyrim and MC.

 

3570K

16GB Ram

240 SSD

GTX 680

U2515H

 

I am in the UK and can't justify £500+ for 980TI, would a 970 be good enough to run Fallout 4 at 1440?

 

Please advise.

a 970 might not be able to keep your fps stable at 60, but if some of the settings are reduced, you should be fine.

An R9 390 would be better as it's usually cheaper, performs better and has over double the amount of VRAM which will definitely help at higher resolutions.
