At $80, you're pretty much limited to 60-64 gb SSDs. You can sometimes find a 120gb in that price range on sale. But if you can somehow expand your budget into the $100-110 range, your options for 120-128gb SSDs will expand quite abit.

If you have to keep under $80, Kingston 60GB SSDNow V300 is probably your best bet. Its currently on sale from Amazon for $69.99.

The V300 line is, as of right now, one of the best value/performance SSDs on the market. Will they beat a Samsung 840 Pro? No, but for real world performance on a budget, theres not really anything else i'd recommend. Unless you want the proven reliability, at cost of speed, of a Crucial M4.
