I am going to build a gaming pc on December 14th. After that I am not going to upgrade for the next 3 years. Will not add anything, like an additional gpu. I will only overclock the parts. But I want to play the games now, and hopefully later too, in max settings at 60fps. So here is a build I have planned with help from friends and forums:

CPU - Intel Core i5 6600k

CPU Fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212X

Mobo - Asus Maximus VIII Ranger

GPU - Sapphire Nitro R9 390

PSU - Seasonic M12II 750 Evo

RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws 8GBx2 DDR4 (2400Mhz)

HDD - Toshiba 2TB (7200 RPM)

SSD - Transcend 128GB

Casing - NZXT S340 (Black & Blue/Red)

Please let me know if some parts are not upto the mark (will act as a bottleneck) or if some parts (like mobo or gpu) are overkill (cause I wouldn't mind saving money if I can :P )

Thanks in advance. :D

cheaper motherboard since you don't need that overpriced thing - use the cash on a 390X

Mobo is overkill I would save money on that and put it towards a better cooler

Personally, if your looking to save a bit of money, your MOBO (while nice for OC and other things) is a bit overkill. You can get an ASUS Z170 Deluxe and it will do you fine.

I got ninjaed

Intel Core i7-6700k | 2 X Gigabyte 4GB GTX 970 Overclocked Edition | 16GB (4X4GB) DDR4 2133MHz Corsair Dominator Platinum | MasterCase Pro 5

ASUS Z170 Deluxe Motherboard | 256GB Samsung 840 Pro + Seagate 2TB Storage | Corsair Hydro H80i GT | Windows 10 Pro 64bit | Corsair HX850i

If he isnt OCing it wont be necessary but i would go with an H80i GT if i were him and planned to OC later. That would be a better place to spend the money without going full h100i

And do I really need a 750watt psu for a single 390?

You can probably go around 600W but 750W is a good wattage (i use it for my PC) and allows future upgrades and easy worry free OCing later. I would stick with it.
