Im making a gaming build for my friend. He will be playing games like fallout 4 and gta v in 4k at ultra settings. Is there anything I should change in the build. He wants to stick with a red and black color scheme btw. Let me know in the comments. Also, leave any other comments or opinions regarding the build.

The Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TRambo/saved/PP6WGX

Location : USA

Budget: $1600

Are you just going to post this same build every day and ask the same question?

Here are the changes you should make.

upgrade to the 4790k

change that Corsair crap out and get a matching NZXT cooler.

get some better looking ram

Ditch that overpriced PSU

-snip-

I've got two concerns regarding your build: Why would you fill all four RAM slots? You can get 2x8GB for 67$ from G.Skill with higher frequencies. And you still have room for a theoretical upgrade, also, the motherboard you chose is overpriced, it's not worth any more than the ASRock I picked, my flatmate has the MSI one, he had to RMA it cause of RAM slot failure, got a replacement, and one SATA port died in less than a week after getting a new one ;-;

point out a gaming build that has 32gb of ram and out performs 16gb.

I picked the MSI to have all the features they need, and to brand match.

edit:

i dont see why you picked out a non-modular psu for your build.

It's still pointless to go 4x4GB instead of 2x8GB which actually is cheaper ^^

Yea. oh well. sounds like an easy change to the build.

Still don't see why you picked a non-modular PSU. Having a giant spool of extra wires laying around in a case...

Cause of the price, of course ^^ It's a quality, SeaSonic unit, and costs almost half of what you picked, they're probably around the same in performance and the huge price difference is only for the modularity :P
