hello all, ive decided due to low budget and that instead of buying a new pc i want to reuse parts from my old(current) pc to try to make it more um.. usable, currently i only play minecraft with lower settings to keep frames above 60 and would like to at the least be able to use high settings with optifine. then maybe move onto some other older pc games

 current setup

 08 dell optiplex 360 DT

intel core 2 duo E7300 64bit

dell mobo G31 chipset

4Gb 2x2Gb g.skill 800 ddr2

AMD Radeon HD3450

2x 60Gb HDD

2 dell monitors @ 1440x900

Windows 10 pro 32bit (32 bit due to error when buying windows 8)

i am looking to reuse the E7300 the 2 HDDs(for the installed OS) and the HD3450 which i have 2 of

my overall plan is to overclock well everthing except AMD overdrive wont run on win10 with the G31 or G41 chipset.

im hoping a X48 chip will still have support for it. please correct me if im wrong

i would prefer a mobo with

X48 chipset

dual channel ddr3 (8 or 16gb)

crossfire support

ive only found 2 boards to  fit this  on ebay an Asus P5E3 premium airlife, and a MSi P4N diamond both are ATX

newegg has several micro ATX boards that take either ddr2/r but are either G31 or G41 and no crossfire

if i go with a macro atx ill be going with a Deepcool Steamcastle

if i can get a hold of a x48 ATX im looking into a case/psu combo

this will be my first build but ive done much much tinkering with PCs over the years.

my budget is $200USD tops including case

does this seem solid? am i doomed for failure? i am totally aware of the silliness of this build!

i welcome all comment and tips and thank you all very much for letting me be part of the forum and i hope to grow here and

don't get a new GPU as Minecraft is a CPU intensive game. Plus, do not get Windows 10 as any game will play worse than you old set up since the drivers are no longer supported there. Trust me, I have tried it with my hd 4550
