Hi people!

I was hoping that you guys could help. I am on a mega tight budget and was wondering if you guys could put together a PC for me? I won't be using a monitor to begin with as I will just use the TV in my living room via HDMI cable. I will however require the PC itself and a keyboard and mouse.

The only stuff I currently do on my laptop is watch YouTube clips (keep up the good work LTT but please finish the latest scrapyard wars!!!), use Microsoft Office for work and play Football Manager 2016, not a CPU or GPU intensive game.

The only requirement of the build is that it is as cheap as possible but able to play Football Manager 2016 with a few leagues open and using the 3D Match Viewer.

Finally, I would like to be able to upgrade parts as time goes on but I'm not even sure if this is possible on a low budget??

Thanks everyone!!!

My current laptop: HP Compaq Presario CQ62

That's the problem. Until I get money for christmas and birthday, I'm not sure of budget. Just as cheap as possible at the moment (I don't think my laptop is going to handle FM16)

Also, what are NUC's?

Intel's "Next Unit of Computing, super small PC's. They use the U series of CPU's (Ultra low power) which are laptop CPU's. They are all dual core and if my Granny's PC with a i3-4170 can handle almost every mainstream game I throw at it, I think a NUC can handle FM16 :P. I'll grab the link for you. Average price is 430 but you do need RAM and and 2.5 or 3.5 inch drive. I'll make up a spec list for you

Thanks everyone. Lots for me to look at.

Also, mildly off topic, this will be my first ever build. Where do you guys go to find information about whether a GPU is good or not, and the same for things like CPU's and Ram?

Ah well a great place to start is this forum! Check in with the various sub-forums here and ask any questions you have :). Entry-level builders are always welcome!
