If you can find a used r9290, or r9 290x, those will give you a lot of bang for the buck.

The only issue, is that unless you use a display port hub (dont think they are very cheap), you can only use 4 monitors of one of these cards.

Cpu: Ryzen 2700 @ 4.0Ghz | Motherboard: Hero VI x370 | Gpu: EVGA RTX 2080 | Cooler: Custom Water loop | Ram: 16GB Trident Z 3000MHz

PSU: RM650x + Braided cables | Case:  painted Corsair c70 | Monitor: MSI 1440p 144hz VA | Drives: 500GB 850 Evo (OS)

Laptop: 2014 Razer blade 14" Desktop: http://imgur.com/AQZh2sj , http://imgur.com/ukAXerd

Why not add another 780 to your setup? or is this for a separate system?

What is the vram usage on fsx?

I was able to run games at reasonable texture settings when I ran 3 monitors on my 2 760s (2gb), and the memory usage was not too bad.

separate system

and the 690 is pricier than the 290x for 4gb / gpu instead of 2

Yeah, with the higher vram, and single gpu, the 290x would give a more consistent performance, but even now the 690 is very fast when there is good scaling. Raw horsepower wise, it is as fast or faster than my 780 ti.

Take a look at EVGA's B-Stock (Parts with small scratches or dents that they cannot sell at full price. Performance is exactly the same though).

6600K / 16GB Corsair LPX DDR4-2400 / Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming / EVGA GTX 980 / Corsair 460x
