Hello guys, my friend who isn't that great with computers has decided to upgrade his computer to be able to stream on it. But he has no idea on what to buy, the thing is he doesn't have that much money so he doesn't want to spend a cent more than he has to.

Since I have just recently under the last months and weeks been learning more about computers I can honestly say that I know almost nothing about the older CPUs/GPUs since when those were released I wasn't that interested in computer, so I don't know what is good or bad in his computer atm.

He says all he wants to upgrade is his CPU and I told him that I honestly don't know what he should replace. He tried to stream on it but it's messes up his game and his stream.

But here is the specs:

GPU: SLI GTX 570
CPU: i5-2500 @ 3.3 GHz
Ram: 12 GB Ram

Mobo: GA-Z68XP-UD4

He is currently looking at a i5-4690K or a i7-4790K but I don't know if there would be any bottlenecking with his GPUs? SInce I am fairly new to SLI I don't know much about that, and as I said before I have no idea how good/bad his GPU's are.

So basically, he wants to know what he HAS to replace to be able to stream on it, he wants to stream CS:GO and Bo3 at 60FPS.

Thanks :)

4790K w/ Z97 board

6700K w/ Z170 board (This will likely require a RAM upgrade)

5820K w/ X99 board (This will also definitely a RAM upgrade)

As for GPU's, a 390X is a pretty nice performer for a good price.

the i7 is surely better for gaming and streaming (even better for streaming/recording would be a CPU with more cores, but that one is totaly fine)

the GPU should be running

the cpu is a bit old but should be running streams just fine, of course unless he hea it for so long that it came in that stage where you should change one

but I thinnk the problem is more on the software side (of the setup on the programm), cuz the stream shouldn't just crash.
