Hey everyone!

I have a question about creating a Windows 10 boot drive off of a USB. I'm preparing to upgrade from an AMD FX-8350 to an Intel i7 6700k with an ASUS Z170 Deluxe motherboard and 8 GB of Fury-x DDR4 memory. I know I need to do a windows install, but my H440 obviously doesn't have an optical drive bay, so I figured I'd put windows 10 on a USB drive to boot off of that. I used the windows download tool (Found here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10) to make it. I'm not sure though if what I put on the USB stick is a bootable version of windows. I included a picture of what the file contents look like if that helps any. It did show up in my current motherboard's BIOS and had a sort of watermark over the icon that said UEFI. Thank you in advance for the help :)

If you used the tool and it automatically baked you a windows 10 USB, then it's bootable.  It's ready to go.  Honestly, I'm rather puzzled as to why you took the time to make this thread rather than sticking it into your machine and just seeing if it boots.

It should be bootable

I thought about that option. I wasn't sure if it would mean I would have to go through with the install or not.
