Wow thanks :) I'm seriously considering this. Can the onboard audio on my rampage v handle hd 600/650?

eh it's stretching it, the hd598 have 50 ohms while these are close to 300 so you might need a little bit extra to power them. 

Too bad it's still a lot in canada.

Pretty great price on the HD 600, lowest we've seen. HD 650 has been cheaper at around $289 but $299 is still good.
