question about the xonar essence stx

i don't know about you guys but atleast to me .. i think it sounds slightly better when using the rca adapter than it does when i use the 6,3 mm adaptor, or atleast it sounds less plain.

The headset im using is beyerdynamic dt770 pro 80 ohm

have i gone crazy? am i just imagining things? is there no basis that could differenciate the rca from the headphone output ?

what do you guys think/know ? what's your experience with it?
