The issue I am having with my u3415w is kind of hard to explain so here it goes.

I have had the monitor for a few months now and love it and have a 980ti powering it. Now with most games I can pull 60+ fps easily but my problem happens when it drops below that. at 60+ the display is smooth and no issues.

The moment I get lower than 60 is when the problem begins. The display seems to act like its at a much lower frame rate. Say I have afterburner up and my FPS drops to 52. All of a sudden to me it looks like I dropped to 15 FPS but in reality its actually 52.

Its almost like if the monitor is not able to display the right frames if its not at its native refresh rate. My concern was maybe I bought a bad DP cable? Nope didnt fix it. Then tried HDMI and same thing. From there it was changing settings on the monitor it self and keep updating my driver to maybe fix the issue but after months I have had no luck.

So my thoughts of maybe a bandwidth issue also are out since 60 FPS is smooth as butter but everything below that is like a slideshow.

Any help would be great!!

it is the games issue. had this problem with minecraft.

Just lower the textures a little but OR fullscreen

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

I guess the only thing I havent tried was putting my games in fullscreen. I always play windowed or borderless fullscreen. Not sure if I will go as far as lowering the textures though. Hate to put the 6GB of vram to waste.

well would you either have a little less texture quality OR 5 fps slideshow? ;3
