what i want is a very simple and straightforward answer what are the alternatives of horizontal spanning on windows 7 64bit sp1 ultimate using a geforce 9600 gt and 2 screens 1280*1024.
since its not a built in option in win 7, is there any other software that can get the job done or maybe get half of it done.
thanks.

there was an option in windows XP under the nview software from nvidia which gives you the ability to combine two 1280x1024 monitors into one 2560x1024 monitor, its called horizontal spanning.
