Xeon w3550

Is a Xeon w3550 worth 35 bucks? There is one for sale on craigslist in my area. Could I use this as a cheap gaming cpu? and one more question, what kind of motherboard supports it, any LGA 1366? Thanks.

You should research the CPU before you just buy it. Just because its a Xeon doesnt mean its good for what you want to do with it. Many are meant for servers, and may seem like a steal if you just assume "its a xeon, it has to be good", but in reality they have more cores, and way lower clock speed because they are optimized for servers where those traits are required. Thats not to say its not good for desktop/gaming use just because its a xeon either, just remember to do your research.
