Networkcard hosting a network
Go to solution
Solved by AverageHardware,
Yes! This is possible. From what I'm understanding, you want to run ethernet to your PC, and use that connection to host a wireless connection through a WiFi card?
You can use the command "netsh wlan set hostednetwork ssid=XXXXXX key=XXXXXX", and then "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" and "netsh wlan stop hostednetwork". This will allow you to connect devices to your PCs wireless card. I've done this using laptops, and USB wifi adapters. Works well. If you want to do this though, make sure to bridge the Virtual adapter with your ethernet so they share internet.
