I messed up

Hey guys, so I recently swapped my motherboard and ram, after assembling everything i cant get the system to start. When I press the On button all fans start spinning but the monitor doesn't show up anything. Any suggestion? All the parts were used before the swap and were doing fine. Already cleared CMOS and still nothing...

 

Here is the part list (i know, i know, this build is a dinosaur):

 

MB: ASUS P5QPL-VM

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300

RAM: 2 x 2GB Kingston DDR2

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5770

PSU: Delta Electronics 450W

Cooler: Cooler master (it looks just like a stock cooler)

Are you sure that you are connected to the gpu and not the motherboard on your monitor?

I tried to connect both... still nothing..

Try only with one stick of ram testing it on a different ram slot everytime,test both of them separately.Maybe the ram is dead or even one slot

Do I have to clear CMOS every time?

How so? I'm trying to load the bios, i didnt even plug the HDD

you didn't say that.

 

put the machine back the way it was. flash the BIOS with the one that will support that cpu. then put things back the way you have them now and boot. what happens?
