Like DDR1, 2, 3,4 and DDRL Or What type of RAM does a laptop use?

RAM for laptops are called SO-DIMM

depends on the age of your laptop if its not older than hm 4-5 years mostly ddr3-SO-DIMM(https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_Outline_Dual_Inline_Memory_Module) are used

So... DDRx is a standard memory format for most tower PC's. the number is the generation, higher means better, and probably faster ram (in mhz). Some laptop use DDRx full, but most use SO-DIMM form factor which has generations like the normal form factor.
