Getting a new headset, these two are the best in the price bracket from what ive heard, is it worth spending the extra money to get the cloud twos? Or should i stick with the cloud ones? And if you have any better recommendations for the price bracket im all ears.

I have a GameCom 788 myself trust me the quality is amazing for the price. I didn't expect that the mic and sound were that good at all.

Have you got a link to a decent review of it? Linus recommended the clouds and i trust him so thats why it was my choice, based on his review i know they are good quality, rather than just have someone say they are (not trying to cause offense).

Also, whats the build quality like? I have a reputation for uh... breaking things rather quickly, and those metal thingies dont look too strong...

Well.. They're made from plastic for the most part. the "thingies" on the sides are made from metal and are durable. you also have a volume rocker, mic mute and Dobly 7.1 enabler on the back and on the front of the headset. I don't know what you are doing with you're headset but If you take care of them like I do then there won't be any problems :D

Is there a mic test or review somewhere?

Between the Cloud I and Cloud II I'd get the first edition. A lot of people reported problems with static on the 2s so you might as well save money and just buy the Cloud I. However the microphone quality is slightly better on the Cloud II if that's important for you.

Bump.

I have the Cloud IIs, but I would suggest just getting the Cloud Is. They're really great for the money and the 7.1 surrounds sound on the IIs isn't great at all. Neither is mic quality, but that's true for both versions. I's say get the Cloud Is. In fact, the only reason I got the IIs is because they were on sale and so were actually cheaper than the Cloud Is, but if they're more expensive (as the IIs are normally) than they're not worth the premium over the Is IMO.

Cloud IIs are either 3.5mm or you can use the included 7.1 surround USB dongle, but I think the Cloud Is are only 3.5mm.
