i have an old pc which is now my father is using, from sometime he's complaining that system crashes very frequently and then it restarts and doesn't boot up, i took a look at it found that bios is crashing all the time, so i have to move jumper clear bios and then it will restart, i also updated the bios from asus site(mobo is Asus P8H61 MLX 3 R2.0), but it doesn't do any good, so is there any solution for this

Hello, it seems that your BIOS chip may be the problem if the jumper didn't solve anything. My recommendation is getting a new motherboard, while i'm no programmer, i do not think there is anything you can do at this point apart from either replacing the BIOS chip (near impossible with the improper tools) , or getting a new motherboard, which would be cheap, since its an older system.

All the best,

Noah

a bios doesn't "crash" unless theres a hardware problem

what else is faulty i wonder, first i thought its the hard drive because when i restart pc without clearing bios it says, missing operating system, but then i plug the hard drive into my new pc and it works just fine
