SNIP

Hey brother, fellow Indian. I live in Mumbai. Anyways for your question, I think that as long as you get the parts go for an eGPU setup, go for it. The MacBook Pro is a powerful machine and a desktop will still be a whole new system and you'll have to take care of it. With an eGPU setup, you just plug it in and enjoy at home and do work on the go outside.

An eGPU is a nice idea, but you need to be aware of some problems that might occure.

First of all you should explain what your goals are and how you imagine it to work and what your Mac is!

E.g. not every MacBook will allow you to use Optimus (eGPU performance on the internal display) and that only works currently in Windows 8.1.

For some basics you can read my basic hardware guide here: http://forum.techinferno.com/apple-egpu-discussion/10061-basic-egpu-hardware-guide-macs.html
