I am planning to upgrade the HDD in my Lenovo Yoga 500 to a 240GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD.

When i clone the hard drive onto the SSD using EaseUS backup, will i need a new windows key in order to get windows to run using the SSD?

Or is it as simple as just putting the new SSD in and having it boot up just like it was before i installed the SSD?

Thanks

It doesn't need a new one. Windows won't see any other difference than the new ssd and that won't de-activate it :)
