Question About Ultrawide Displays

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025212&cm_re=1440p-_-24-025-212-_-Product

How would i be for gaming? How would this be different from a normal monitor? Anything else you guys would like to tell me?

Have this, and I love it. 5ms 60hz 2560x1080.

If you want the immersion, the size could be bigger. If you want frames, maybe look into the 144hz gaming monitors.

Thats the monitor I've had for about a year now, if you look in my profile its in my build :P

But my thoughts on it?

Its not the best for gaming, blur is minor but its there, although there is pretty low input latency :) its fine unless you want to go pro on CSGO :P

Speaking of which, FPS games are super fun to play on that aspect ratio, as well as XCOM and others, although you do run into UI elements that are wonky and not optimized for the ratio, as well as some games that just don't support it and have to play at 1080p (Skyrim is a big one, unless you modify it)

I personally have enjoyed video editing and DAW software the most I think, due to the suuuuper wide timeline you get.

And movies in 21:9 look amazing

But overall, its a great monitor and its cheap, but personally I would go for the screen size up next time I got an ultrawide just because of vertical real estate you lose.

Like this one, although cost goes up some :)

But thats just my two cents!
